By: Jane Colmer

As you make your journey through pregnancy to birth, your body is going to undergo many changes. Keeping good maternity health is going to depend on your ability to get ample amounts of good nutrition and exercise. This will help to keep your pregnancy weight gain under control. To help you to create a pleasant and healthy atmosphere for your baby as well as to reduce your recovery time, it's very important to exercise during pregnancy. Your body will be going through the most stressful times in your life.

It's important to have a good pregnancy workout to help reduce stretch marks and the formation of cellulite. You can overcome your feelings of being fat, and unattractive. While there has been much written about pregnancy and babies, alot less help is available for women trying to lose pregnancy weight.

You can easily modify the exercise routine that you are already doing. This is the easiest way to establish a pregnancy workout. Here are a few tips:

First off, make sure to talk to your doctor or OB-GYN to get their nod of approval before you begin or continue exercise during pregnancy. Stop your pregnancy exercise routine immediately if it starts to be painful or you are fatigued. Don't do exercises which may put your or your baby at risk if you fall. If you get hit in your stomach, there is risk of injuring your baby. The point here is to stay in your present condition. Don't exercise with the goal in mind of improving your current appearance. Be sure and take the time for a warm up and cool down in conjunction with your exercise. By using easy toning exercises at a medium level- your workout will be more effective and safe.

Stair climbing, walking, swimming, and stationary biking are among the exercise programs that are safe for the majority of pregnant women. You may wish to enroll in pre-natal aerobics classes. Usually, it is safe if you want to walk or swim right up until your baby is born.

Here are a few questions that may arise during your pregnancy:

* How much pregnancy weight SHOULD I gain?

* Am I gaining too fast?

* I want to stay toned. What exercises can I do to stay toned through my pregnancy?

* Can I keep from getting cellulite?

* How long will it take for my pregnancy mask to go away?

* Can I do anything to make my delivery easier?
