If you are aiming for promoting seasonal materials and you would wish your logo to carry the overall look and feel of your campaign, then do it. Add a hint of snow to signify winter or the holidays, a simple pumpkin accentuating your logo for Halloween and the like.

Just be sure that when you do this, you don’t drown it too much with details that the shape of your logo becomes totally unrecognizable.
