Bartending is an art that can be mastered only by full concentration. It is not a way to serve the liquor to the customer but to make him satisfied by the service is the major point. Knowledge of a recipe is not everything; it varies slightly according to the choice of the customer according to the flavor and the strength of the drink. The following are the tips that can be useful for the bartender to be successful in their profession.



• While making the cocktail drinking you must always use proper measurement, even if you had the mastery over making it without measurement. It is necessary for the consistency of the drink.

• Fresh fruits and juice always gives a better taste. So the lime and the lemons are used afresh. It will make the drink tastier.

• The qualities of the ingredients are always necessary to ensure the effectiveness of the drink. This fact is truer with cocktail so always use the quality ingredient to make a drink. The sugar must be dissolved properly in to the drink and the ice is to grinded slowly to ensure proper chilling of the drink.

• Proper garnishing of the drink is also important to give it a proper flavor. It is performed by squeezing the juice from a wedge of the fruit or spaying the drink with the oil of a fruit. Another popular method of garnishing is called rimming in which the juice is wiped dexterously around the rim of the glass and the top of the glass is dipped in to the garnish such as coco powder, salt or sugar.

• While making a cocktail it is always better to taste the drink before presenting it to the customer.

• Always dissolve the ice properly before presenting to the customer. A small ice chip is able to make a bad taste of the mouth.

• It is better to keep the glasses in to the freezer to ensure the proper chilling of the drink. Mostly the glasses for the martini and beer must be properly chilled before making the drink. If the freezer is not having enough space then ice and soda water is to be added to the glass before making the drink. It will make a proper chilling.

• Always fill the glass with a plenty of ice. It is necessary for the proper chilling of the drink. The ice will dilute slowly and make the proper chilling of the drink.



• Eggs are used for the texture of the drink. Pasteurized egg white is to be used for the health of the customer.

• There is not a feasible way of making a drink. So rather than following the hard and fast rules for the ingredients the procedure, the choice of the customer must be given the first priority. Mostly while making the cocktail and martini drink it is better to understand the flavor which the customer like and prepare the drink according to that.
