To make sure that you'll end up with a Florida home for your luxury vacation that you can EASILY afford, set a budget limit for yourself. Be sure that what you have is enough to pay for the rental for the period of your vacation.

Place - now that we've got the perennially troubling issue of money out of the way, let's focus on the next most important factor in the list: deciding on which part of Florida you wish to be in for your luxury vacation. Florida is a mixing bowl in terms of real estate so you're sure to find what you're looking for, whether it's a suburb type of community, an exclusive one, or something that's strategically located near or within the city.

Lifestyle - This aspect has a large influence on the type of activities, attractions, and events that you can expect once you've chosen where in Florida you wish to have your luxury vacation. In Orlando, for instance, expect the bustle of city life tempered with family-oriented entertainment. If you already have a family, your kids would enjoy spending the vacation in Florida more if you lived near or in Orlando. For a more laidback lifestyle, however, you can always opt to live in Key West, Florida. You can reacquaint yourself with the wonderfully relaxing benefits of fishing and exploring swamps. Having a home near the Everglades, on the other hand, will allow you to be one in nature everyday.

Size - Expect to be able to rent nicer, but simpler houses in any part of Florida that isn't visited often by tourists. Houses in Key West and Orlando, on the other hand, may be decidedly costly depending on how near you are to any of its popular tourist attractions.

Since you're only having a Florida home for a luxury vacation for a short period, consider being practical and look for a home that's of adequate size only. You won't be living in it year long, after all, so you don't have to a home larger than the family requirements. A few sacrifices here and there are surely excusable and negligent, considering the amount of time you'll be spending exploring the wonders of Florida.

Neighbors - Even if you're going to live in this home during vacation only, that doesn't mean that you won't get affected by the type of neighbors you have. Maintaining a second or vacation home implies that you will certainly spend more than the usual overnight or weekend stay in Florida. Anything longer than two nights is definitely qualified for a long stay, and this is more than adequate time for you to realize if your neighbors are great or not. So choose well and look not only inside but outside the house you're considering!

Rental real estate prices may be cheaper or more expensive in Florida depending on where you're from. Nevertheless, whatever home you decide on for your luxury vacation is surely worth it because Florida is a land of eternal fun with a capital F!
