Explore the beautiful Bulgarian Riviera

Bulgaria is fast becoming a popular holiday destination for UK travellers now that the East European country has become a full member of the EC. This beautiful country benefits from warm summers and snow-filled winters, making it ideal for holidays all year round. Lying just outside Varna, the much-celebrated Seaside Park was built in 1878 and still continues to be the big draw. Here you will find Sunny Beach, the largest resort on the Bulgarian Riviera, and just off the beach you will find shady groves, hundreds of restaurants, lively bars and a friendly welcome. Nessebar has been settled for the past 3,000 years and there is plenty of evidence of its ancient beginnings, featuring Thracian, Greek and Macedonian ruins.

There is so much more to see on the Bulgarian Riviera that hiring a car would be a sensible option for holidaymakers looking to explore further afield than their base resort.
