To start with you will need to empty your entire bedroom closet. If you're in the process of moving into a new home, this task should be somewhat easier. Once the closet is empty, wipe down the walls as well as any shelving already in place. At this stage it's always a good idea to paint the inside of the closet so that it matches your bedroom walls. Painting will also get rid of any scuff marks that may have accumlulated as things have been tossed into the closet.

The only components needed are hooks, shelving, hanger rods, and bins; which require little manual labor to put together. If you need shelves in your closet all you need to do is make a bracket out of scrap wood, nail it in place with a hammer, and the just slide your new shelf into place.

Splitting the closet horizontally with dual hanger rods is also an effective way to create storage space for your clothing. This option works best if most of your clothing are pants, skirts and shirts. Long evening gowns won't fit very well with this design! Shoes can be stores in plastic bins, as can jewelry, scarves and any assortment of accessories. If your bins aren't tranparent, make sure to label them so you don't have to go sorting through them whenever you need something.

To keep your clothes in good condition and for easy availability of clothes bedroom closet organizers are very much useful. Arranging clothes in the organizer need not be a tough task and the outcome of this task is worth the effort. Just spending a few seconds in putting the items in their proper places will help maintain a neat and clean closet.

If you're feeling a little more creative or if your budget doesn't have room for store-bought closet organizers, there are still ways to get organized with what you already have at home. Place some unused shelving either in your closet (if you have room) or along a bedroom wall. Then use baskets, photo boxes, or plastic storage containers to hold your clothing and personal items.
